    Description

    For
    sale is
a World War II German K98 Mauser Bayonet made by
    Carl Eickhorn in 1935 (S/172G)
with a unit marked scabbard.  This was a GI war trophy that sat in a basement for many years.  The blade still retains some original finish with spotty oxidation and rust - to bad it wasn't stored in a better location.  The metal shows oxidation/rust on pommel and guard. The scabbard is dent free but has a lot of rust and pitting (I put oil on it and whiped it down).  The bayonet measures 16" overall with a 9 3/4" blade
