The ricasso has markings on the right side, "A. EVERTZ SOLINGEN". Scabbard has no markings. Frog has markings on the back of the belt loop but they are hard to read. There are no other markings.

Description:
This is a WWII German K98 8mm bolt action rifle M1884/98 III A. Evertz bayonet knife, scabbard & frog.
Condition:
The bayonet is in good serviceable condition. Press catch has stiff spring tension. Pommel, back strap, flash guard and crosspiece have very light rust and scratches. Grips are made of plastic. Crosspiece is held on tightly. Spine has no nicks or dings. It looks straight with no unusual curves. Each side has a single fuller. There are a few scratches. Blade edge has no chips or dings. It has its original factory edge. The knife comes to a sharp straight point and the tip is intact.
There are manufacturer markings on the ricasso. Most all the finish remains.
Scabbard is in good serviceable condition. bayonet slides in and out easily. There are a couple very minor dings, scratches and rust. Frog stud is securely attached and the finial is in good shape. Throat has no rust. Leather frog is in good condition. There are no rips or tears and the belt loop is in good useable shape. Stitching is sewn tightly, rivets are securely fastened. There are faint markings that are hard to read. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
