Description

Very good condition original WWII German 98k Mauser bayonet that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Bayonet is maker marked “GEBR. HELLER” on the left ricasso and dated 1938 on the spine. Bayonet has nice original blue metal finish showing a little normal wear and was never sharpened. Bakelite grips have a good tight fit with some normal handling marks, no damage. Lock button functions fine. Matching numbered steel scabbard is also marked “GEBR. HELLER 1938” and has original blue metal finish showing some normal wear and a few dings, no major dents. Also complete with original leather frog. Leather is soft and supple with some normal wear, stitching and rivets are tight. Complete with handle straps. A nice early war 98k Mauser bayonet with matching numbers.
