Description

Very good condition original WWII German 98k Mauser bayonet that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Bayonet is marked “42ddl” on the left ricasso for manufacture by Jos. Corts in 1942. Bayonet has original blue metal finish showing some wear. Blade was period sharpened. Bakelite grips show some handling marks, lock button functions fine. Matching numbered steel scabbard has original blue finish showing some wear, no dents. Also complete with original leather frog. Leather is soft and supple with some wear, stitching and rivets are tight. A good matching numbered 98k bayonet set with a scarce code.
