WWI GERMAN K98 41asw BAYONET w/ MATCHING SHEATH & RARE PAPER FROG

The b
ayonet
is
dated and marked 41asw
for
E F Horster & Co and
the serial number matches with the
sheath.
All parts are
in
very nice
condition.
The blade has oil on it and all of the original bluing except an area between the tip and blood gutter and some other minor spots where there is finish wear from being inserted and removed. The blade has the factory edge and looks unused
.
It has a very point tip.
The s
cabbard
is
in great
condition with 2 very tiny depressions, slight patina and a slight amount of finish wear showing bare metal.
The g
rips have no cracks
and have
minor
surface wear. They are a darker brown and are securely
attached.
There is
Waffenamt stamping
on the tip of the scabbard, one the push button and 2 on the pommel
.
The compressed paper frog is very rare and in nice condition with some light edge wear in the hole that retains the scabbard
and a little on the edges
. All rivets and sewing are strong.
The bayonet goes in and out with little resistance.
