    Description

Anyone remember Herbie Fields? He was an American jazz musician/bandleader born in Asbury Park, NJ on 5/24/19 and died on 9/17/58 in Miami, Fl.  He attended the Julliard School of Music and began recording in 1944.  In 1945, he won Esquire Magazine's New Star Award on the Alto Sax.  In 1946, RCA signed Fields as leader of his own big band.  This, however, was difficult to maintain in the Post-War period.  He died in 1958 ending his life with an overdose of sleeping pills.  His suicide note, according to police, included the statement, "I have completed my mission in life."  This 8" x 10" glossy photo is marked HERBIE FIELDS And his Orchestra, Bonomo Studios, N.Y., Management - MCA Music Corporation of America.  London New York Chicago Beverly Hills San Francisco Cleveland Dallas.  The photograph has damage and is NOT in the best condition,  but his face and autograph are clear.  Please enlarge photos for accurate description of condition.  It is very yellowed and NOT black and white as it appears in the photos.   It is signed  Sincerely, Herbie Fields. Still, a great piece of history!
