    Description

Singer, bandleader and actor Art Jarrett (1907-1987) signed this mail interview page sometime in the 1930s. Jarrett didn't complete all of the brief interview, but he did provide his autograph. He also listed his favorite movie stars: Joan Crawford, Carol
    (sic)
    Lombard, Clark Gable.
Art Jarrett performed with several orchestras before forming his own in 1936. His film credits include
    Art Jarrett
    (1932),
    Ace of Aces
    (1933),
    Hollywood Party
    (1934) and
    Trigger Pals
(1939). He was married to Olympic swimming gold medalist Eleanor Holm from 1933-38.
Signed boldly in black fountain pen ink on 8x10 page: "Art Jarrett." Excellent condition. No doubt as to authenticity.
This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, newspaper columnist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer. Mank's handwriting on this piece is seen in green ink.
