Star's® Pro-Max 2.0® is constructed of 20 gauge stainless steel with smooth cast iron plates that have embedded metal tubular elements.
When it comes to cooking wraps, sandwiches, chicken breasts, hamburgers, and much more, you can't do much better than the Star Pro-Max 2.0 Sandwich grill. This model features a grill surface made of cast iron, is more versatile and retains temperature better than aluminum and is great for high power grilling. The surface is also smooth, which makes this the more versatile choice over the grooved surface (at the expense of grill marks and paninis!). This model has a strong stainless steel build and simple analog controls. Operating between 175F and 550F, the grill accommodates sandwiches up to 3" thick with consistent contact and heating. Finally, it features Star's exclusive Torsion Spring Hinge, which stays put at whatever position you leave and has been tested to withstand over 4 million cycles, so you won't have to worry about replacing it.
