    Description

RARE - Vintage, original signature of FRANK SINATRA and others (circa 1940-1942) when Sinatra was with the Tommy Dorsey Band. This particular table card/coaster measures  approximately 3 1/4" x 5" and is an awesome piece of memorabilia from very early in Frank Sinatra's career.
Postcard signed April 12, 1941. Unique opportunity to own a vintage signed piece that you can attribute to a specific date!
The card has been postmarked card March 31, 1938 advertising for performance at Valencia Ballroom - York, PA April 9, 1938. However, it appears that the recipient of these signatures attended a performance of the Dorsey orchestra when they came to town again on April 12, 1941 (the date handwritten on the card). The names of the featured members on the 1938 advertisement have been crossed out and a clipping of the 1941 featured performers (including Frank Sinatra who was with the band from 1940-1942) has been affixed to the front of the card.
The card has been signed by: Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Ziggy Elman, Connie Haines, and under the words "Pied Pipers" - Jo Stafford, Chuck Lowry, John Huddleston and one unknown signature.  All signatures are in fountain pen ink with the exception of Dorsey, Haines, and Elman. The Frank Sinatra signature is clear and bold (in ink) right in the center! SEE SCANS!

Sinatra got his first real big break when he joined the Harry James Band in July 1939. In January 1940, Frank Sinatra joined the Tommy Dorsey Band in Chicago after leaving the Harry James Band. He stayed with the Dorsey Band until September 1942 before venturing out on a solo career.  And the rest is history!
Here is your opportunity to own a vintage Frank Sinatra signature – an authentic autograph from very early in his career (when he was with the Tommy Dorsey Band from 1940-1942). Vintage, authentic Sinatra signatures are VERY RARE! This is a must-have piece for the serious Sinatra collector.
A terrific investment - the signature of an entertainment legend.
Many people try to sell Sinatra signatures – some authentic, but must are not authentic. Do your research before you buy a Sinatra signature. Rule of thumb – if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Consult with industry experts like third party authenticators if you are unsure or have doubts.
Frank Sinatra was a willing autograph signer throughout his career (60+ years), however many forgeries and secretarial signatures exist in the market today. It is widely known that Sinatra utilized secretaries to deal with his mail correspondence, including autograph requests, as far back as 1939-1940. Many (some would argue MOST) of the Sinatra signatures you see for sale in the market today are classic examples of secretarial signatures from the 1970's - 1990's or outright forgeries. Do not take on the risk of buying a Sinatra signature that you do not have confidence in. Look for signatures that have credible background and provenance.
