    Description

    This wonderful Capo di Monte porcelain figurine features a tender scene of an old man, a young child, and a dog. The child is holding a toy for an attentive puppy. This hand painted by master craftsman Gianni Merlo, and is stamped with his name on the floor. The details are fantastic and the colors are rich. This piece measures 9" high and the base is 5" x 6 1/2". Condition very good with no chips or obvious damage, just a tiny, hard to find repaired crack on the boy's right arm (see close-up). It is marked with the blue crown and N Napoleon or Naples mark and numbered on the bottom 0/373. It's also stamped on the "floor" by master Gianni Merlo.
