RESTORED Parker Vacumatic Major Fountain Pen, Silver Pearl, Medium 14 K Nib

This is a
restored
vintage
Silver Pearl
Parker Vacumatic
from 1945, with
stacked coins cap band
, in excellent condition.
The pen is
free of
cracks, deep scratches or personalizations, it is ready to write and with a smooth nib.

The pen has been
fully serviced
. It was disassembled, the nib and feed were ultrasonically cleaned and a new, properly sized, diaphragm was fitted. The pen was manually and lightly polished after covering the imprints and metal parts. After assembling, the pen was inspected, tested and the nib was adjusted. It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years.
Nib:
Gold 14 K  nib (the nib code is 5 with  three dots, matching the barrel), it writes a slightly wet medium/medium-fine line (please, see the writing sample in the last photo; the  squares  are  5mm X  5mm).
Filling system:
Vacumatic filler with  a new, properly sized diaphragm. It fills very well.
Body and Cap:
The celluloid is very clean, and there are
NO
cracks, gouges or deep scratches. There are micro-scratches and there may  be light scratches compatible with use and the age.
Trim
: the clip has a little brassing to the tip and the stacked coins cap band shows significant brassing, as is common with chrome trim of the time. The blue diamond is excellent.
Jewell:
Excellent condition.
Imprint:
the barrel imprint is fully legible. The date code is 5 with three dots
