    Description

Parker 51 desk pen in India Black with gold filled cap. No base. Vac model with long rounded blind cap. Date code '8' with two dots (second quarter of 1948). Fine to medium point nib. The nib actually has a little give to it in spite of the hood, see samples. Vacumatic filler with plastic filler, as found, unrestored. I made the writing samples by dipping the pen, but it does not fill as it is -- it will need a diaphragm. Length about 6  1/8 inches.
The writing samples were made with the pen itself, dipped in Waterman Intense Black ink, on Rhodia paper with a 5mm grid.
