Original WW2 German Bayonet Frog K98 Frog Black Excellent Shape Wermacht Scarce. Scarce original ww2 german bring back bayonet frog! This stunning condition leather frog would have held a german ww2 k98 mauser bayonet! It is still functional and could be used to go with a bayonet missing a frog or for a belt display or any number of displays! The condition of this example is hard to upgrade! This is a stunning original piece not much else to say! I will note the hilt strap was clipped, though it appears this was period done! This was commonly done so the bayonet could be quickly accessed. All things seem to point to this example being combat worn! Overall a scarce original piece of ww2 german history! I do not see any marks or stamps on the frog though they could just have been worn off or never present to start!
