Description

Really nice " yard long " photo of the Brownsville airport dated January 1929 .  It measures thirty-two inches long and is in what has to be the original frame and staples / backing .  The backing is hard almost like wood .  Wind sock indicating a moderate wind that day as does the American Flag waving over the main building .
It's in good shape with no damage like stains or evidence of water warping .   People and cars around and an old airplane .  I searched the internet to find a plane like it .  I believe it to be a Ford Trimotor .  Called " Tin Goose "  I guess .  This is the right time period for this plane and it matches the photos I found .  Photo # 7 is a Ford Trimotor of the late 20's .
This piece hung for years in the shop of a very talented Antique Dealer in South Texas .  It was not for sale to my knowledge but after his passing , I was able to purchase it from his estate .  I did NOT make any copies of the photograph and I will not .
I'll package well and insure the shipment .
"Ford's famous Tri-Motor classic airplane was adapted
from the single-engine Stout Pullman, an innovative
design by William Stout of the Stout Metal Airplane
Company. The subsequent Tri-Motor was
America's first all-metal, multi-engine aircraft...."
