    Description

    Kaiser Wilhelm II
    Full-Colour Portraits on CDROM
Friedrich Wilhelm Viktor Albert von Preußen - Frederick William Victor Albert of Prussia
    (27 January 1859 – 4 June 1941)
At offer is a CDROM compilation of
portrait paintings, rendered in full colour, of Germany's last kaiser.
Wilhelm II (William II) was the last German Emperor (Kaiser) and King of Prussia, ruling the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia from 15 June 1888 to 9 November 1918.
Ascending to the throne in 1888, he dismissed Otto von Bismarck, the Chancellor, in 1890 and launched Germany on a "New Course" in foreign affairs that culminated in Germany'support for Austria-Hungary in the crisis of July 1914, which quickly led to the outbreak of First World War.
He tended to be bombastic and impetuous, sometimes making tactless pronouncements on sensitive topics without consulting his ministers, which ultimately cost him most of his influence. An ineffective war-time leader, he lost the support of the army. His leading generals, Paul von Hindenburg and Erich Ludendorff, dictated policy during the First World War with little regard for the civilian government. He abdicated in November 1918, and fled to exile in the Netherlands, where he lived until his death in June 1941.
These images are published on CDROM in the highly accessible Adobe Adrobat .pdf format.

We ship using standard air parcel services. If you would prefer mailing using a tracked parcel rate, please inquire and we will check current rates with Canada Post for your acceptance.
