Claude Hopkins signed 8" x 10" semi-matte photo. The American jazz pianist, who performed with Josephine Baker in Paris in the 1920s, was a successful bandleader in Harlem in the 1930s. This photo, with a backstamp of the Rockwell-O'Keefe, Inc. management agency, is signed clearly in black ink: "To Corine Johnston / Sincerely Claude Hopkins". Minor soiling and creasing with a small tear to upper margin, else very good.
