GERMAN WWI/WW2 K98 MAUSER BAYONET W/ SCABBARD J.A. HENCKLES DATED 1917.
Nice early made K98 bayonet, It carries the Royal Cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Prussia, who reigned 1888–1918. This particular bayonet was made in 1917. Made by prominent knife manufacture J.A. HENCKLES that still produces some of the finest chef knives to date. There is a number 39 stamped in the top of the scabbard throat. The blade tip has some rust issues but otherwise a beautiful blade for being over 100 years old and surviving two wars.
