If you have an affinity for turning deep hollow forms, such as tall vases or urns, the #271GW Straight Beaver Deep Hollowing Tool from Crown will help do the job nicely. An adaptation of the old-fashioned hook or ring tools, it has been configured to avoid clogging or snagging. The cutting tip can be adjusted for thickness of cut. It is made from M2 High Speed Steel (HSS) and hardened to Rockwell 62-64. Tool blade is 1/2" in diameter. Tool is approximately 26" long overall with a 14" long stained Beech handle.
