CIRCA 1929 STREAMLINE DUOFOLD JR JADE FOUNTAIN PEN BROAD NIB RESTORED

Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1929 Parker Streamline Junior Duofold Fountain Pen in Jade Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized Silicone sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, Two Ring Cap Banding, and 14K Duofold NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the barrel, blind cap, and cap to bring back the vibrancy of the fountain pen and to protect the Celluloid. This Parker Duofold is the Junior Size and measures 4 5/8" capped and 5 7/8" posted.
The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip and has been polished to shine bright and displays no brassing. The cap banding displays rich gold-filled color with no brassing. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN MADE IN USA". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The color of this Parker is very good -the cap is perfect in color and the barrel has a bit of darkening around the threads.
This Duofold has a button filling mechanism and I have tested it with water and fills as it should. Works fantastic and as designed to.
This is the fun part of this Duofold. The Parker NIB is a 14K Juicy Broad Nib that writes extremely smooth and lays down a wet line. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a broad point measuring roughly .98mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to double broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .70mm, and the broad line measures at 1.13mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-black Ink.
This is an Iconic vintage Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Jr size. Jade celluloid in these Parkers is so difficult to find clean but this one comes close. I would consider this Parker to grade in Very Fine Condition. It is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.

Item must be returned within 14 days of receiving it. The item cost will be refunded. (Buyer pays all shipping and insurance). Item must be returned with Delivery Confirmation. Item must be returned to qualify for a refund. I do not give refunds for uninsured items if they get broke in shipping. ( I do pack carefully, I do not want them to arrive broken.)
