CAPODIMONTE "OLD MAN SEWING SOCKS" SCULPTURE CIRCA 1960

Description

For sale, we have a Capodimonte sculpture titled, "Old Man Sewing Socks".  Unfortunately, he suffered a fractured leg skiing...
For the winning bidder however, I will throw in - free of charge - a damage-free example.
For those unfamiliar with Capodimonte; they are sculpted entirely by hand where details are created with the intricacy and precision only achievable by hand sculpting; the detail on the shoe flap, the
arms, veins, fingernails etc.
Although one is broken, the pair offer a nice compare and contrast set where the differences, subtle as they be, illustrate the
intricacy and precision which can only be achieved by hand crafting.
