  • Condition: This set has been very well looked after over the years it's is in very excellent condition. Was the property of my Italian uncle. Please remember this is probably over 70 years old now after being produced in the 1950's. So not a new item - but they look like one.

    VINTAGE CAPODIMONTE SEA HORSE/GRIFFIN/DRAGON HANDLE BACCHANLIAN CHERUBS CABINET CUP & SAUCER STAMPED CAPODIMONTE 565 ITALY
    - Dragon handle - works in fields. This is a really fabulous exotic cabinet cup and saucer with the relief design of bacchanalian half naked workers with loin cloths carrying water and harvesting crops all around the saucer and cup with an elaborate seahorse or dragon shaped handle and gilt interior to the cup and central disc of the saucer with gilt trim - probably dating from the 1950's/1960's clearly marked on the base of the saucer : In good condition with no chips or cracks and only light wear to the gilding around the edges and center of saucer Measurements: 2.25" tall cup - 3.75" across from edge of handle to other side of mouth 4.5" diameter saucer
