Antique Large Italian Soup Tureen Pink L.W. Co. Italy Numbered See Description !

This is a lovely made in Italy soup tureen that is signed and numbered L. W. Co. (Or maybe it says D.W. G. ??) 72/102 . Under plate measures 14 x 11 . My Italian mother in law got this as a wedding gift in 1953. It sat on her buffet through many Sunday pasta dinners that I was REQUIRED to be at at 4:30 sharp every week in my young marriage no matter what other plans I had . Im selling this because everytime I look at it I can hear her voice (May she Rest In Peace ) complaining how her mother’s second husband packed it when she moved in 1972 and “He didn’t know anything about packing !” So it was chipped and the handle broke off and has been glued back on . Even after she had moved to a nursing home , everytime she saw this in my house she whined about it . She. Never. Got. Over. It. And She. Never. Forgave . Him. I heard the story at least 5000 times . Didn’t matter if I cut her off and said I knew the story , she was fixated on telling it again . It has sat for 10 years in a place in my home that I have to pass it often , and everytime I do , I hear her whining in my head . So anyone who has ever had a mother in law like mine, can surely understand why I am putting this up for sale . But my traumatic memories of in-laws are your gain ! Because even though “Anselm didnt know anything about packing ! And “had no business acting all important and trying to help pack !!”(The fact he was trying to help completely escaped her ) and even though Anselm was never accepted as family just as I was never accepted , because well .. thats a whole other eBay description story ... this is still a lovely if slightly damaged piece . The under plate is a little warped from age and doesn’t lay perfectly flat , it also has a hairline crack , the handle is glued on through my possession crazed mother in Laws tears . And there is a chip off the rim that has been glued back in . Through all of these things that for some reason affected the quality of my MIL’s life , it is still usable !!! And still a lovely addition to your Italianate dining area.
Please, please , buy this and take it out of my home or make me an offer that will at least pay for one of my therapy sessions I need after being in this family for 35 years . ( side note - it will be extremely well packed when shipped , because her constant criticism of how this was packed , stuck with her children and they all now bubble wrap everything in sight as of it is being shipped to the moon . ) please see picture for the damage that poor old Anselm did back in ‘72.
