    Description

Item was sold, but returned because it was not a "Boeing early period" as mentioned on previous post.
Up for auction is a very rare Boeing Mail Bag tote.  Manufactured by C.A. HOFFMAN & SON MFRS ARLINGTON CAL.  I believe the leather mail bag is around 1910-1920 cira.  It was used at Boeing during the 1950's during the missile programs.
    Bag Dimensions: approximately 29”X16”
Based on the information stamped on the mail bag see the note below from the Boeing Archivist.
"BAC PAD was the Boeing Airplane Company Pilotless Aircraft Division, this was the division that pioneered the first Boeing rocket programs GAPA and BoMARC. The 5-org number is consistent with that division. Not sure what the number 13 represents, could be a mail code. These types of bags were used to mail classified or sensitive material within the company. I would put the date in the mid 1950s."
This is still an one-of-a-kind bag due to its age and the significant of Boeing history.
