Alma Desk Company
LARGE
One of a Kind, Unique
Triple Burl Top Triptych Writing Desk
Vintage / Mid-Century / Antique
Local pick-up an option, of course.
72 inches wide by 36 inches deep...  that's 18 sq feet of writing space.
Sits 30 inches high.  I recommend doing an Alma Desk search and you'll see this is a bargain
Has one drawer, centered.  29" wide by 21" deep.  Holding depth is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches.  Contains a removable pencil tray.  I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what kinds of wood are used in this; no stamps indicating model number, etc. just the Alma plaque inside the drawer.
This really is a great piece, but with 4 kids in the mix and needing the bedrooms...  we have to let it go.
Trying to get the rich colors and grains captured with a cell phone camera, is a bit of a challenge.
I can email more pics as well...  including close-ups of the few dings/scratches there are.
Not sure what kind of wood.  Mahogany?  Walnut?  It's hard to find big burls to cut like this though.
This will also be avail through crai /gs list Boston area with a lot more phots.
We're purging lots of stuff, so please check out our other listings.
All items come from a smoke free home (we do have a dog though).
Will help with packing freight shipping,  but not really sure how that works.  While this can be picked up by two people, it IS heavy.
All items sold 'as-is."  However, if there's ever a problem, let me know and we'll figure things out.
ATTENTION
- regarding shipping.
Yesterday,
December 12th
, my postmaster recognized me and informed me that the USPS is running at least a week behind.  She expected it to be two weeks behind by the end of the day.
My wife and I always work to get shipments out within a day, especially this time of year.  While I have great success in packages making due time, please be aware of the impending back-log that might affect shipping times via USPS.  Priority might help, but there is no longer any guarantee.  The closer you are to the seller's zip code, also helps, but most mail is being trucked these days due to lack of flights.  This will be the case through December 27th or so.
As my family works primarily with collectibles, the above may not be an issue as collectors collect when the collectible becomes available, and not so much because of specific holidays.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.  Most sellers on Ebay are still "small business" or hobbyists who are victim to the shipping debacle as much as a buyer might be.
BUT, if you are trying to get items (from anyone) to you before Christmas, whether first class or priority, please note and take into consideration they may not make it in that time frame if purchasing now.
