    Description

Three (3) Stainless Steel Breather Tubes
for Parker 51 Aerometric Fountain Pens
Brand new precision-made breather tubes, manufactured to exact original Parker dimensions for standard-sized 51s. While many unrestored Aerometric 51s will suck up water (or ink) when their sacs are squeezed, that does not mean they will fill completely or write properly as found. In particular, the original sterling silver breather tube is often clogged or badly corroded, allowing the sac to fill to only a fraction of its capacity and shedding debris that does nothing to improve the reliability of ink flow.
A key element of original Parker Aerometric breather tubes is the small hole drilled through one side about 6 mm from where the tube enters the feed. This hole is carefully sized and placed so as to equalize internal and external air pressure, preventing the expulsion of ink during flight. Our breather tubes retain this feature, and will enable your 51 to perform like new again.
NOTE: These tubes will not fit early 51s with Vacumatic-style plunger pump fillers, nor will they fit later production 51s with plastic breather tubes. They will fit the great majority of squeeze-filling standard-sized("Aerometric") 51s, originally equipped with a metal breather tube. For the smaller 51 "Demi", we sell the correct, shorter tubes

    Payment
We are glad to combine shipping charges on multiple purchases, but it is vital that the proper checkout method be used. When buying more than one item, use the Add to Cart button -- NOT the Buy It Now button. View your cart when you are ready to complete the purchase, and if the total shipping charge is incorrect, do NOT pay. Instead, click the Request Total link at the top right and we will send you a corrected invoice.
    Terms of Sale
We strongly believe in full and explicit description of any condition problems or flaws, and in very conservative grading. We stand behind our descriptions -- buy with confidence.
