    1" x 100' coil. This premium Manila rope is a natural fiber rope made from the abaca plant and imported from the Philippines. It has low elongation under load and shrinks around 15% when wet. Manila rope is often used as a decorative rope for handrails on decks and docks, fencing, borders, arts, crafts, and tying or wrapping. Some other applications include landscaping, recreation, industrial, marine, fitness, and games. Manila makes a great tug - of - war rope.
    All Manila rope fibers are treated with a light mineral oil during manufacturing to prevent them from becoming brittle. Some people don't like the smell of Manila rope, especially when it is brand new. The odor will fade over time. We find the odor pleasant and enjoy getting shipments of it for that reason.
